Geese?

Rita Mae is helping measure and mix ingredients for pretzels.  After she dumps the flour into the mixing bowl, this exchange occurs:

Rita Mae: What's next?
Me: Next we need to put in the yeast.
Rita Mae: Geese?
Me: No, yeast.
Rita Mae: What geese means?
Me:  Yeast.  It makes the pretzels rise.
Rita Mae: Oh, right.  Dat's da geese.
